Disney Springs has been growing every year, and it doesn’t appear to be stopping any time soon. New restaurants and experiences have been added the over the years , and today I want to tell you about a place that I believe deserves endless praise:
Erin Mckenna’s Bakery!
A few years back, I was working with a nutritionist in an attempt to find potential food intolerances. When Timothy and I were traveling to Orlando for the first time as annual pass holders, I was on a dairy free/gluten free/soy free diet. How was I supposed to enjoy myself with such strict food restrictions?
After a little bit of researching, I found what is now my favorite Disney Springs sweet shop. Erin Mckenna’s is a bakery that originally started in NY, but has since made it way down to the most magical place on earth. What sets this bakery apart, besides the delicious food, is how they cater to many different food intolerances.
- Refined sugar free
- Gluten free
- Wheat-free
- Soy free
- Dairy free
- Egg free
- Vegan
- Kosher
I can guess what you might be thinking…. Does it taste like cardboard?
Surprisingly, no no no! Their cookie icing sandwiches immediately caught my eye. My husband was a bit skeptical while ordering on our first visit, but after one bite he was a believer.
Even though we don’t follow any sort of food restrictions now, I continue to go back and enjoy the delicious desserts from Erin Mckenna’s Bakery.
One of my favorite things on their menu is the “pastry cups”.
Every morning when they make all of the goodies, whenever an item is cracked or less than perfect, they are kept aside to make a new treat of their own. The sugary scraps are put into a cup, that way you can test out numerous tasty treats.
While you are on that Disney Springs corner, I highly recommend stopping at Joffrey’s just a few stores down. At this coffee location, you can request a latte decorated with Mickey or Minnie. Not only is the coffee tasty, it is the perfect vacation photo op.
A few more helpful tips:
- Out to eat at a table service restaurant? Good news! Many dining locations at the parks offer their delicious cakes on the dessert menu.
- You can find more of these pastries at a few select Disney resorts. You can find the full list here.
- It is best to store these desserts in the fridge due to its ingredients.
Take my word for it, it’s not just a good healthy alternative. It’s good in its own right!
Have you tried this hidden gem before? If not, make sure to add it to your vacation bucket list.

I LOVE Disney so so SO much! I’ve been to Anaheim Disney and Tokyo Disney, and both offered their own unique treats. Hands down one of my favorite things to do is eat my way around the park. Pretty cool that they cater to diverse park-goers by offering kosher, vegan, gluten-, wheat-, soy-, dairy- and egg-free options!
If I ever make it down there (fingers crossed) I will definitely have to try that bakery!! Looks absolutely scrumptious!
Those coffees are so cute & the pastries look delish!!
