Spring: A Season of New Beginnings

Spring is officially here!

I, for one, am ready for the warmer weather. I miss being able to spend the majority of my day outside and will be glad to wear my much neglected shorts.  Here in Georgia, the flowers have already begun to bloom and I am taking in all the sights and smells.

If there was one word that I attribute to spring, it would be new. New life. New chances. New hope.

Now is our chance to get a fresh start and refocus on what we deem important. It is never too late to start again.

It is an ongoing joke that most people give up their new years resolutions in the first month of the year and slowly go back to their old ways, but spring brings us another fresh start. We get to choose what the rest of the year will look like to us.

It has been a month of diving into things that I have always been afraid to try. A month of saying “yes” to new things that I never thought I could do. I used to say, “Oh, I’m just not a creative person” or “I could never do that”, but this month I have decided to ask “Why not?” Why have I put myself in a box? Why have I held myself back from the joy that this life offers?

How can you use spring to start a new beginning? In what areas of your life would you like to press the reset button? Now is your chance. You get to determine what kind of life you live, and I beg you not to sell yourself short. Today can be the beginning of anything you want.

Love, Jubilee

  1. I’m excited about the warn weather too! I can’t wait to let my boys run wild and come back smelling like puppies. Lol I’m also getting ready for some craft shows. I love outdoor events so it’ll be great to work one. I’m so inspired and have been in a creative fever with my jewelry. It feels good. 🥰

    1. Love that! How long have you been making jewelry? I love outdoor events as well. I can’t wait to go back to the farmer’s market now that it is warming back up:)

    2. I’ve been able to make jewelry for years now, I just now finally got organized enough to get an online store set up. It’s slow going but hopefully it’ll pick up soon.

  2. These photos are GORGEOUS! Yes, the better weather (which we don’t have in Buffalo quite yet ;)) always makes me think of changes. So I’ll ask you a question – what are you going to do to get out of your box? Will you take some classes? Will you try an art night? What are the new hobbies you’re trying? Would love to learn how you let yourself fail in a new hobby 🙂

    1. Thank you so much! I’ll be posting a blog about my hobby month more in detail at the end of the month, but I have been trying some new things:) I took a kickboxing class, tried rock climbing, started doing crafts in an effort to be creative, and started weight training! I think the hardest one for me was rock climbing, I was definitely not a natural. But I had a lot of fun with my friend anyway and enjoyed doing something out of my comfort zone! I loved kickboxing, and I hope to do it again soon:)

  3. The spring is always a great time for a rebirth, not just in the movement from winter to springtime, but within our lives as well. Often just a simple step in a new direction will provide the springboard and rebirth for exciting and new elements to be introduced into our lives.

Great post and a reminder to the time of year we’re at. Unfortunately, where we live in Canada there is still 3 or 4 feet of snow on the ground. Not much new rebirth yet. But, the temperatures are above zero today, so that’s a small blessing.

  4. I love how you said you’ve been saying yes to more things and trying things you’ve told yourself you can’t do. That’s something I’ve been thinking about myself. Sounds like you’re going to have an awesome spring!

    1. Thank you Hunida! You are so kind. I just got them a couple weeks ago, and I love them:)
