Adding A Power Hour To Your Day

I came across this idea on Pinterest and have loved it ever since! So what is a Power Hour?

Once a day you take an hour to nourish you mind, body, and soul. So for 20 minutes you focus on your mind, 20 minutes on your body, and 20 minutes on your soul. It is the perfect way to practice self care, especially if you arenโ€™t already practicing it and donโ€™t know where to begin.

So here are some quick ideas for what you might do during each segment:

Reading a fictional book

Playing an instrument

Listening to a podcast

Reading a non-fiction book

Watching a TED talk

Starting a DIY

This has been a key to self care for me. It helps me make sure that I am taking care of all the different sides of myself. Have you tried a power hour before? Would you ever want to make this a daily ritual? Let me know in the comments!

    1. Thank you! It has really helped me. I’ve been wanting to try meditation more, it is very difficult for me

    1. It has been a huge help for me! It is definitely a great investment into myself:)

  1. Great idea! I also give myself a weekly sabbath rest. That is, I schedule 24 hours of non-work. Usually I clean my house on Saturday and do meal prep or whatever for the week but I quit at 3:00. Then I determine not to anything I consider work until 3:00 on Sunday. Anything I find relaxing, like gardening, baking or sewing, I do not consider work. I think God knew we needed to give ourselves a weekly break of non-work.
