What Are You Good At?

Week 3 of 52 List Happiness: List the things that you are really good at.

This was actually a big challenge for me. It can be hard to find the confidence to admit what you believe to be your strengths. Here is what I believe I am really good at:

  • Being on time
  • Writing
  • Encouraging others
  • Making goals
  • Reading books
  • Being introspective
  • Giving myself and others grace
  • My job
  • Yoga
  • Asking good questions
  • Practicing self care
  • Following directions
  • Having perspective
  • Caring about my friends
  • Being organized
  • Keeping a clean house
  • Being vulnerable

What are you really good at? Which ones did you have to work at? Which strengths came to you naturally?

  1. This is an excellent exercise and I believe everyone should participate in this from time to time. It is so difficult to claim our strengths but that is what gives us more confidence to move forward. Let me play too: I’m good at public speaking, writing my blog posts, dancing, and facilitating spiritual classes. Thanks for this reminder. ~ Blessings, KK

  2. This is a valuable exercise. Many times if we’re pulled away by negative events, it’s possible to lose sight of those things we do well.

Here are the things I’m good at doing. There’s no priority intended by the order in the list.

    Good friend
    Giving credit, thanking others
    Good at my job
    Thinking before speaking
    Keeping a clean house
    Relationship building
    Caring for my health
    Good neighbor
Pushing myself to do challenging things

Few of these if any of these things came easily. I learned by some role model or life experience.

  3. Writing, inspiring and motivating others, sharing my faith with others, teaching, public speaking, reading, singing, learning new things, conducting research studies, being good as much as possible. Many of these are just me…but it took handwork and persistence to learn some.

  4. I’m good at: being honest, being on time, loving, caring for others, writing, speaking, being a friend. I need to work on: believing in myself, confidence, being a puppy mom.

  5. Love this post! Many times I can think more of my weaknesses more than my strengths.
    Listening to my kids
    Not holding on to things
    Great friend
    Good driver
Great at Arts + Crafts with my kids
LEGO building 💪🏽 haha! I have kids!
Returning calls / texts at a decent time 😊

  6. Whoa, this is harder than I thought. I’m good at:
-organizing – closets, projects, events, timelines
    -insight into children
    -noticing and encouraging the underdog
    -giving biblical advice
    -helping in practical ways
-predicting”who done it” in TV shows
